A suggested itinerary for one day in Paris for those who have either been here before, or would like to visit more off the beaten path locals!
Morning
- Start with breakfast at Café Oberkampf in the 11th arrondissement, known for its artisanal coffee and homemade pastries.
From there, take a stroll through the streets of the 11th arrondissement and explore the vibrant neighborhood. Some recommended places to check out include:
- Place de la Bastille: This historic square is a must-see for anyone visiting the area. It’s home to the iconic Bastille monument and offers great views of the city.
- Marché d’Aligre: If you’re a fan of fresh produce and local goods, the Marché d’Aligre is the place to be. This lively market is open every day except Monday and offers a wide variety of foods and products.
- Rue de Charonne: This charming street is lined with trendy boutiques, cafes, and bars. It’s a great place to do some shopping or grab a drink with friends.

- The cemetery covers 110 acres and has over 70,000 burial plots.
- In addition to the graves of famous individuals, there are also impressive monuments and sculptures throughout the grounds.
- The cemetery was established in 1804 and was named after King Louis XIV’s confessor, Father François de la Chaise.
